Lynn displayed her passion for art when she was just eight years old living next-door to an art teacher who volunteered to teach her drawing with pastels. What initially drew Lynn to art were the colors but it was not long before she had to try her hand in oil paints with their lustrous colors and and sensuous texture.

 

Lynn has never lost that love of color and particularly enjoys the soft buttery texture and workability of oil paint. Her style is abstract expressionism. Her inspiration comes from nature and her travels.

 

After receiving a liberal arts degree from Seattle University, Lynn attended two more years at Portland State University studying art.

 

Lynn’s wearable art was displayed in galleries throughout the west coast for nine years. She followed that with years of producing award-winning videos telling the story of non-profits and important social issues.

 

Lynn’s is now exploring her craft an abstract art. Her painting evolve through layering of textures, gestural marks, lyrical lines and color to create a history of surface. These layers give the painting a depth and richness.

 

Lynn currently lives in Portland, OR with her husband Roger, a retired attorney.
